Why we exist

A foot in the door.

AMTYP was founded in 2020 to address the lack of diversity in the creative industries at grassroots level. Barriers to entry are significant for young people — especially those from African and Caribbean heritage. We remove those barriers through real work experience, financial grants, and an industry network that stays with you for life.
Alice Walsh, Founder
"I am blown away by the impact that 'a foot in the door' can do for a young passionate creative. It allows them to then blow that door open and drive through to their next path with the confidence and gravitas that they deserve."
— Alice Walsh, Founder & Director
